Advantage Therapy Centers is proud to announce the addition of Sasha Vinokur, Physical Therapist, to our Physical Therapy Team.  Sasha joins us as Director of Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and is one of the ONLY physical therapists in the South Jersey region who specializes in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. She brings with her many years of training and experience. Advantage Therapy Centers recognizes the importance of providing women with the tools and skills necessary to regain control of their incontinence and their lives. Advantage Therapy is proud to announce this unique, one-of-a-kind Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation program to our Physical Therapy program.

Pelvic Floor is the group of muscles which support the bladder, urethra and other organs within the bony pelvis.  Through the normal movement and stresses associated with daily living, the pelvic floor can weaken and become lax. It can also carry increased tension and stress.

When the pelvic floor weakens or carries undue stress, individuals may experience urinary or bowel urgency, incontinence, constipation and pelvic pain or pain with intercourse. Sasha will help break those dysfunctional cycles with education, behavior modification, modalities and exercises to facilitate normal coordination of pelvic floor muscles.

The Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Program at Advantage Therapy Centers uses the principles of physical therapy to provide a structured program for muscle reconditioning. Sasha will work with each woman to develop an individualized program for building strength, decreasing tension, and improving the function of the pelvic floor muscles.  The components of an individually designed program may include pelvic muscle exercises (Kegels), biofeedback, and/or electrical stimulation depending on the symptoms and the type of problem. Sasha can teach the patient how to perform simple exercises to dramatically improve the performance of muscles in the pelvic floor, providing significant relief to women.

In a warm and caring environment, Shasha strives to help you feel more comfortable about yourself and will help you regain control of your life.
