Local Woman Raises Money and Awareness |
Man & Woman of the Year 2008Man & Woman of the Year is a fundraising campaign to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Local business and community leaders fundraise in honor of our Boy and Girl of the Year
—children battling a blood cancer. This year
’s honorees are 10 year old Jarrod McGee and 4 year old Kayla DeFeo.
During the 9 week campaign, women compete against women and men compete again men for the title. Each dollar raised counts as one “vote”. At the Grand Finale Celebration, the candidates who raised the most money are declared Man & Woman of the Year. Each will go on to compete for the national title.
